At Nurtured Soul Studios, we believe that starting your yoga journey with a strong foundation is key to long-term success and enjoyment. That’s why we suggest every new student (to yoga) begins with our Essentials – Beginner Yoga Series, a three-week program designed to introduce you to the fundamentals of yoga in a supportive and personalized environment.
Held quarterly in 2026. This program offers a unique opportunity to explore yoga postures (asanas), proper alignment, breathwork, and the philosophy behind the practice. Think of this as your chance to “try us before you buy us.” Throughout almost 8 interactive sessions (yes, our lead instructor Rachel loves to dive deep!), you will receive 75-90 minutes of hands-on, tailored instruction each week to ensure you feel confident and comfortable as you move forward.
After completing the Essentials – Beginner Yoga series, you will be ready to transition into group classes with ease and grace, understanding how your body moves and how our classes are guided. You can transition into class packs, memberships, or try our intro offer: 4 classes within 2 weeks while you get a feel for us. Our instructors hold space for all students to move at their own pace, respecting personal boundaries and providing guidance that prioritizes your well-being.

At Nurtured Soul Studios, yoga is more than physical postures; it’s a holistic practice that integrates body, mind, and spirit. With Mind.Body.Soul™ method, we weave mindfulness, breathwork, and somatic healing into every session, empowering you to connect deeply with yourself in a way that feels authentic and transformative. Our classes are a judgment-free zone where you can release, restore, and grow, knowing you are supported every step of the way.
Rachel Lee’s life has been fueled by an unapologetic passion for movement, wellness, and healing. She laced up her first pair of dance shoes at age three and didn’t stop moving until sports stole her heart at sixteen. From there, she went on to shine as a two-sport collegiate athlete in volleyball and softball, undergrad in Sports Medicine/Kinesiology, before tacking on a Master’s in Project Management because why stop at one skill set when you can have them all?
Life threw her a few plot twists that landed her in the IT world for almost 25 years, and she never stopped studying the body, the mind, and the art of transformation. Along the way, she stacked up credentials: certified nutritionist, personal trainer, spin instructor, barre’ instructor, e-RYT800 yoga teacher, certified somatic energy practitioner, and Reiki Practitioner (she’ll pass on the “master” label, thanks). She is currently chasing her second master’s in Yoga Therapy and Ayurvedic Medicine, because learning is her love language.
A trauma-informed yoga therapist and founder of The Mind.Body.Soul™ Method, Rachel owns Nurtured Soul Studios, a mental health healing sanctuary where yoga, barre, somatics, and soul work collide. She is the creative force behind Shake Your Chakras™ and Poses for the Performer, programs that blend decades of movement expertise with deep, evidence-informed healing. As a published author and corporate speaker on mental health and wellness, Rachel’s work bridges science, spirit, and story.
Proudly rooted in McHenry County, Illinois, Rachel shares her home with her sidekick, a yellow lab named City, and pours her energy into her work, the outdoors, and the community she loves.
